About Anna Barkan 
Anna Barkan, a Russian/British actress was born in Moscow and after graduating from Teacher Training University studied acting at the Vakgtangov Theatre School and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.  
 
After graduating in 1993 Anna worked as an actress on stage and TV in Russia and the UK and went on to form CHAIKA Theatre company where she produced premiers of lesser known Russian classics in original translations.  
 
Anna also co-founded The Drama Academy which specialised in Theatre for young actors aged 8 to 18 based in the UK , USA and Russia.  
 
Anna has worked with the Michael Chekhov technique as an actor since 1989, and currently is completing her MA course in Actor Training & Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
