About Maria Albiez 
Maria Albiez is co-director of the Hoathly Hill Sculpture Studio, and also teaches there. She has worked as a sculptor for many years and exhibits regularly with the Surrey Sculpture Society (SSS) and at other venues. 
 
Prior, Maria worked as a laboratory assistant in water research work at the ‘Institute für Strömungswissenschaftä (Institute for Scientific Water research) in Germany. She then trained in remedial education in Germany and worked for many years in a Camphill home in South Africa with children, young people and adults with learning difficulties. She also trained as art therapist at Tobias School of Art and Therapy in Sussex specializing in sculpture therapy. 
 
Maria has a certificate in humanistic counselling skills and a diploma in integrative supervision. She has worked in hospitals in Germany and in an anthroposophical clinic in England, as an art therapist, she also has a private practice.
