🎭 Sarah Kane and Andrew Wolpert will be offering speech, drama workshops, close study of the text, lectures, discussions, and a visit to see a production of the play at The Globe Theatre. 

Eurythmy UK and Performing Arts International are offering two workshops exploring movement in many of its forms in the arts of eurythmy, acting and speech. 

Eight French actors and I have just finished the seventh weekend of nine in Paris on Buechner's play Woyzeck; we are using it as a way of learning and practising how to apply Michael Chekhov's technique to a play and a character. 

Actress and director Sarah Kane, founder of Performing Arts International, is always in great demand to deliver workshops and this year has been no exception; her feet have barely touched the ground! 

I returned in early September from spending six weeks in July and August of this year working in three European countries, predominantly teaching professional actors what has come to be called Creative Speech. It is also known in English as Speech Formation. 

In August Sarah managed to do something she had spent her whole life wanting to do: see a performance at Epidauros, the ancient Greek theatre believed to be the first public one that ever existed, or at least almost the first public one. 

Student Sylvie recently undertook module two of "The Epic Year", this is what she had to say about her experience of the training: 

FOUNDATIONS, the name of the first year of the new Performing Arts International training course in the arts of acting and speaking began its life in January 2018 at Peredur Centre for the Arts with a five-day introduction or taster of the work. 

Performing Arts International offers workshops in London, Sussex and in various parts of Europe (Paris, Athens, Berlin, and Madrid, for example,) for trained professional actors or actors in professional training on various aspects of the Russian actor Michael Chekhov’s approach to theatre and acting.
