Foundations: 03 - 07 January 2021 (FIVE DAYS)  Creating pictures with words: Exploring narrative

Story - recalling history from deeply personal events, bound to specific times and places, to the universal and eternal – will be the focus of this second week of discovery and exploration. We will investigate who narrators are and how they enliven and give shape to those events and actions described in legends, fables, fairy tales, anecdotes etc, What inner qualities, what skills does giving life to a story ask us to develop both as artists and as human beings?
In the mornings we will work with exercises both in movement and in speech that help us develop and strengthen our imagination and our capacity to paint pictures with words; in the afternoons with working on narrative pieces.
The workshop starts at 09.30 am on Monday 03 January and ends on Friday 07 January at 5.30 pm. Sessions run from 09.30 – 12.30 & 14.30 – 17.30.
