Workshop 02 – 06 JANUARY 2020 (SIX DAYS) Creating Performance: Engaging Creative Resources

The final week of the first year will be devoted to continuing to practise both the speech artist’s basic tools and the pieces participants have by then chosen to present at the end of the week. The pieces will then be rehearsed for the performance.
We will also continue to explore the following questions: what does it mean to enter a stage with the whole of ourselves? How do performers engage their own creative resources to move or stand in front of an audience, beginning the unspoken conversation that takes those listeners and spectators on a journey through the arc of the performance? How do we create the beginning, middle and end of a performance? How do performers collaborate to create a whole experience for the audience?
The workshop starts at 09.30 am on Thursday 02 January, and ends on Monday 6 January at 5.30 pm. Sessions run from 09.30 – 12.30 & 14.30 – 17.30.
