Workshop 19 - 23 AUGUST 2019 (FIVE DAYS) MOVE! IMAGINE! Exploring Michael Chekhov's approach to acting and theatre

Michael Chekhov, a brilliant actor and nephew of the great Russian playwright Anton, has in recent decades become almost as well-known as his playwright uncle; he also developed an understanding of and practical approach to the art and craft of the actor that is founded in Stanislavski’s ground-breaking approach and also has a poetic, imaginative quality.
This has the potential to liberate actors from many of the hindrances they may experience to accessing their own creativity. Chekhov recognised the artist in every human being and his approach to acting invites everyone to develop their own creative skills, whatever their artistic experience.
