Workshop 30 March - 3 APRIL 2020 (FIVE DAYS) Just begin: Working artistically with body, soul and spirit

What does it mean to engage with the arts of speaking and acting and how does it differ from how I speak and move in my everyday life? We do these things daily, so how do they become artistic activities? These and other questions will lead us to discover how we engage the body, the senses, the soul and the spirit, in other words, the whole of ourselves, in all our work on the performing artist’s material: poetry, story and dramatic texts. It can also begin to show us what it means to set out on the path to transform into, to become, an artist of the spoken word, an actor, a performing artist.
We will explore how we engage the body, the senses, the soul and the spirit, in other words, the whole of ourselves, in all our explorations into the performing artist’s material: poetry, story and dramatic encounter.
